Being a teenager is hard and complicated. It is an emotional roller coaster, filled with discovering who God has made you to be. I think it is very important to keep God close to your heart during this time in your life. The world will be giving you every opportunity to turn away from him, praying at night can help give you strength for these daily fights and stay on the path.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 teaches us to stand together “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” God wants us to be the light in the darkness. Our Lord, wants us to pour love onto one another even in times of distress.
I want to challenge you to pick one person each day to show God’s grace. When you become irritated or upset, show them mercy and forgiveness. In building each other up, we make the evil of the world dimmer.
I want to give you praise for taking the time to pray to our, Lord. It is a very mature and grown-up decision to follow Christ, especially when those around you are not doing the same. Dear Lord, I ask that you bless me tonight before I rest with wisdom. Your great wisdom, Lord, I ask that you gift me just a small piece.
Father, I ask for your wisdom because I know it can guide me in the right direction. It can show me which path to take in order to best serve you.
Father, I am surrounded by choices each day. It is an overwhelming feeling. I ask that your wisdom shows me a clear choice, Lord. I ask that I never be in question on what I should or should not do.
Father, please bless me with wisdom in my studies. I ask for it in my academic studies, Lord, and also in my biblical studies. I wish to read the words on pages of a text book and comprehend its true meaning through your eyes. I want to read the Bible and understand each verse as it is written.

Heavenly Father, I feel as though I am being surrounded by great evil today. I know it is not you, Lord. That you would never make me feel trapped in such a way.
I ask that you surround me in the coming days with your love instead, Lord. I ask that you lift away this pressure and replace it with peace.
Lord, I need your help. I need the words to stand up to my peers. I need a message that will help me escape from the pressure I am under. Lord, I ask that you bring my friends to school with an understanding heart. I ask that you let them hear my words and let it go.

Father, I know I am going to be presented with choices that would go against who I am as a person in your light. I know these choices are not coming from you, Lord. I ask that you take them away tonight. I ask that you take away this opportunity and guard me from it every happening again.
Lord, I know that we are all tested with temptation. I know that you are the only perfect person. I ask that you guide me in my decision making. Help me strive to be like you, Lord. Give me the knowledge to make each choice, a good choice.

Dear Lord, I have come to you to ask you to remove the temptation that surrounds me. Father, I know this is a part of life, I know that it is something I must overcome, but I need help.
Lord, help me find the strength I need to do, what your word has taught me, is right. Help me be respectful to others and myself, Lord. Help me stay away from people or places that may encourage this temptation to succeed, Father.

Dear Lord, I felt alone today. I feel like I am missing a piece of me and I cannot explain where this grief is coming from. Lord, I ask you to put love into my life. There are so many different forms of it, Lord. I ask that you give me a special love that I will forever cherish.
Father, I know that your love is most important. Thank you for loving me. Allow me the opportunity to love another the way that you love me. Help me find someone that I can learn to give grace and to forgive. Father, help me find someone that brings me joy in the same way that all of your people bring you joy.

Father, I have been feeling lost. I know that I am a person of God, but I do not know who I am in this world you have created for us. Father, tonight before I lay down to rest I ask that you help me find my identity. Show me who you have created me to be.
Father, I know you have a path for me. I know that I will learn who I am down this path. I ask that you open the door that will lead me down this path, Lord. I ask that you grant me access to your plan for me.

Galatians 6:9 reads “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” I firmly believe that if you pray, God hears you. He wants you to put all of your weight on him. He wants you to lead a life of purity through him. I believe he will reward you at the perfect time.
Try to remember that only Jesus has come to earth and been able to be perfection. Do not focus on the ways you have strayed from our Lord’s path, but instead focus on the future you are still presented with and ask for forgiveness along the way.
