Lord God, I pray a prayer of joy for my sister. She has worked so hard all of her life and now she has put in enough years to qualify for a full retirement. She told me she put in the paperwork last week and will be officially retired in a couple of months.
I am so happy for her, yet I also pray that she will find plenty of activity to keep her as busy as she wants to be in her retired life. I’m sure she will take a break for a bit, but I know my sister too well to think that she will just sit around the house for too long.
