God, please help me to be a witness to your goodness even during a difficult time like preparing for back surgery. Help me to “run with perseverance the race set before me” (Hebrews 12:1)
I don’t like that I have to have back surgery but this is what you have given me. So before those who may be watching I pray that this can be a witness to your steadfast love. I feel privileged to be given that assignment. But Lord I plead with you that the outcome will a healthy child
God, for as long as you give me this life on earth I pray that I honor you with my body. Help me to see this surgery and any future surgery as experiences that can draw me and my family closer to you. I pray this in Jesus’ saving name, Amen.

God, help me to seek you when I am nervous and answer me as I know you will. God, I desire that my whole life be a witness to your goodness. Allow this experience to be the same. Help my life be radiant. Allow me to share your goodness with the doctors and nurses that will be performing my back surgery.

God, you have been so good in my life. You have saved me from my sin and allowed me to be called your child. You have offered comfort and a safe place in you. I have nothing to fear outside of you because you are mighty and have already saved me.
Father, I pray that during my back surgery no matter the outcome that I remember I lack no good thing apart from you.

God, I praise you that when I don’t know what to pray that I can turn to your word. I can pray the prayers of others that have walked through afflictions in the past. You were good to hear their prayers and answer them. I ask now that you hear my prayers and answer them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prayers Of Praise After Back Surgery
God, I will never be the same. There were so many battles that took place in this hospital and you were over all of them. I praise you for your hand of protection throughout my back surgery.
God, you know the physical, emotional, and spiritual battles that were faced during this back surgery. You know the number of struggles I faced before going into surgery as I battled exhaustion and stress.
God, you help me take care of all the details and handled all my fears. You alone know if the back surgery will heal all my problems but I praise you for the work that has been done and the results so far.
God, as I am getting ready to go home I praise you for all your work. I will continue to pray to you as I recover. I will continue to praise you for bringing me this far.
Father, I thank you for all those that had been praying for my back surgery. The amount of love and support I received this week was humbling. Thank you all for your prayers, texts, meals, calls, coffee, and everything in between.

Closing Thoughts
When you or someone you love has back surgery scheduled it can be emotionally and physically draining. When you first learn of the need for back surgery you might be afraid or overwhelmed. The enemy wants us to do fear, but God invites us to rest in His peace.
