Financial breakthroughs, especially for me as a Christian, involve releasing the need for control. Managing our family’s finances used to be a significant challenge. Instead of entrusting our financial worries to God, I used to stress about the next paycheck, despite our diligent monthly budgeting. The unknowns were always a struggle.
Upon deciding to contribute to our church, I struggled to envision how we would manage. However, by placing our faith in God rather than my constant worry, He has consistently provided more than enough every month.
Proverbs 3:9-10 reads “Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the first fruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.” The Bible teaches us over and over that we are first supposed to take care of God’s people and missions and then ourselves. In doing this we will reap the rewards.
As we ask for a financial breakthrough today it is important to remember God’s will first. Try to listen for what he wants you to do, or which direction he wants you to travel in. Your breakthrough may not look the way you have envisioned it, but that does not mean God has not shown up for you.
He’s there with you at work even when you’re dealing with an unfair boss and He’s with you when you’re dealing with unexpected expenses in your home. It’s important to not forget that. If you have any specific financial breakthrough prayer requests, please leave them in the comments below.

Father, I know you have watched over me as I have been consumed by the financial situation that is surrounding me. I know you are waiting patiently for me, Lord. I remember that I need to ask you for your help and guidance.
I am ready, Father, I am here now on my knees to ask you to provide a financial miracle. I am open to your words and guidance. I am letting go of everything I thought I already knew in exchange for your perfect wisdom.
Father, my finances are out of control. I cannot see how I am going to get out of the mess that is around me. I need you to take control, Lord. I need you to show me the windows or the doors I have not seen. I need you to send me someone who has the knowledge or the ability to support me through this time.
Heavenly Father, I know I am not worthy of your miracle, but I also know that your love is so much greater than my worth. All that matters is that I have faith in you and I know that you have seen felt my faith, Lord. I try not to ask for too much, but I do ask that you grant my financial miracle.

I ask that you give me the strength I need to ask those, who can help me, for help. Lord, I know they are out there. I know you have put them in front of me many times, but I have not been listening or paying attention. Please give me another chance to see speak with them, Lord. Please allow to properly communicate my urgency to them.
I know you have not forsaken me, Father. I know you have the power to make all of these financial burdens go away. Please bless me with your miracle. Please show me the correct path to lead from now on.
Father I ask that you give me a financial miracle to share with others. Give me the opportunity to share your amazing grace and power. Prayer to be a Good Steward of Finances:
Father, you have blessed me with so many opportunities. You have provided finances well above my household’s basic needs, Lord. I want to thank you for such a blessing. I want to continue to be the person who is worthy of such a great financial blessing. Keep me on your righteous path, Lord.
Father, I ask that you help me be a good steward of my finances. I ask that you wake me if my mind or heart gets too greedy. Always remind me that I have been blessed so that I can help out those around me. I ask that you cause me unease if I ever use your blessings to further my own will and not your own.
Lord, help me not become the person who hides my earnings from the church. Help me stay away from sinful natures. Remind me that this money is not my own, Lord. Forever help me see that it is to be used to further your kingdom.
I know you promise us greater riches than those we have today. Help me remember that your kingdom is the end goal, not my short term desires.
Grant me guidance to become your good steward, Father. Show me how to use your blessings to better your kingdom. I know that in doing this I will be doing your will. In Jesus name I pray,

Prayer to Calm Anxiety Surrounding Finances:
Father I have sat and stared at our finances for hours on end. It has consumed every part of my day. I have run numbers and tried to thin our finances, but nothing is providing a true answer to soothe over my anxiety.
Lord, I ask that you take this burden away from me. I am ready to give everything over to you. I am ready to first give to your missions instead of myself. I am ready to surrender my finances to your will, Father. I am ready to show up for you in the same way that I am asking you to show up for me.
Today I ask that you release my anxiety from my body, Lord. I ask that you grant me peace when I look at our bank accounts. I ask that you take away the worry that consumes me every time I have to pay a bill. Father, strengthen my faith so that I can only depend on you and what you give to my family. Give me grace to accept what comes with an easy heart and open arms.
Lord, I ask that you will be shown to me in our day to day lives. I ask that you grant us with opportunity to not only take care of our family, but to also take care of those around us. Lord, give us the ability to go from sinking in financial anxiety to helping free others in the same situation. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Prayer to Wipe Our Financial Debt:
Lord, the debt I have obtained is extreme. It is a number I cannot by myself even fathom paying off. Father, I have been relying on myself to provide for me and I know that I need to rely on you instead.
Lord, I want to show you that I am a faithful servant. I want to rely on my faith to help me overcome this financial debt situation. I am turning to you alone, Father. I want to listen to your guidance. I want to follow the steps that you put in front of me. Let me see the doors you have opened for me, Lord. Open my eyes to see the opportunities that you have been putting in front of me all along.
Father, I ask that you take away the pride that I carry. I ask that if you send someone to help me I open my arms to them. Give me the courage to ask those that I can for help. Give me the humility I need to accept those that you send to me, Lord.
Father, I know you can do great things. I believe you will walk beside me through this financial debt situation. Thank you for always being there for me and showing me a way. In Jesus name I pray,

Prayers for Financial Prosperity:
Dear Lord, you have been great to me so much throughout my life. You have provided for me when I had nothing, you have shown me your strength through times of turmoil. Today, Lord I am asking that you bless me with financial prosperity. I want my financial prosperity to be your will, Lord.
I ask that you bless me with enough income to not need for anything, Lord. Please grant us enough money that we can provide for our household and the church all at the same time. We want to be happy givers, Father, we want to help build your kingdom of prosperity.
Father, I ask that you give us the opportunity to have a savings account. Help us prepare for the future, Lord. We want to walk the path you have laid for us. Allow us to prepare for our needs before they arrive. Show us your great power, Lord. Show us how to plan for the future you know will come to pass.
Lord, we ask that you give us enough money to chip away at our debt. We know this will hold us back from completely giving to your kingdom, Lord. We ask that you help us get rid of our debt quickly so that we can focus more of our finances on you. Show us what percentage we need to focus on our debt to reach financial prosperity.
I am forever grateful for the opportunities you will lay before me, Lord. I will wait and listen to see what direction you want my household to go. I am excited to see how we can contribute our prosperity to your kingdom. In Jesus name I pray,

Prayers for Wisdom Over Finances:
Father, we have been blessed with this gift of financial breakthrough. You have supplied us with more than we could ever need ourselves and we want to use it for your glory.
Today we ask for you to gift us with your wisdom, Lord. I ask that you put people into our lives that need the finances you have blessed us with. Let us help people the way you once have brought others to help us.
Father, I ask that you give us no doubt that we are supposed to help the people you put in front of us. Fill me with your joy and love when they tell me their story. Give me the foresight to ask them how they are doing. Please give them the courage to share their financial struggles with me so that I can help your people, Lord.
I want to ask that you send away those who would use my financial blessings for their own gain. I ask that you give me the wisdom to sort out those who need our help and those who would be trying to use your blessing for dark purposes.

Prayers to be Content in my Finances:
Father, I find myself putting more time and energy into my work. My family is concerned by my endless need to get to the top, and I have come to you to show me a new way.
Lord, I ask that you show me how to find contentment in my job and finances. I ask that you take away the greed that is consuming my need for more money. Please show me how to balance my job and my time. I know that if you want me to succeed in my job you will open doors of opportunity. Help me not let my job consume the time I am supposed to spend with you and my family.
Lord, I ask that you settle my heart from all of its wanting. I ask that you take away the feeling of need I have for expensive things. Give me the opportunity to see the greatness in what you have already blessed me with, Lord. Show me how if I live for today and right now, I will see so many better things.
Father, thank you for always providing for myself and my family. Thank you for opening my eyes to see that I am missing out on today. I promise to open my heart to your feeling of content, Lord. In Jesus name I pray,

Prayers for Job Financial Request to be in God’s Will:
Lord, I have this feeling that I need to make a request at work for more money. I need to know, Lord if this financial request is your will or my own. I need to make sure that I am only chasing after your wants for me, Lord.
I do not want to be consumed by greed or lust, Father. I am concerned about where this path may lead me.
Father, I ask that you take away this feeling if it is not coming from you. I ask that you erase the need for more from my heart, unless you want me to make more for your kingdom.
I am opening my heart and my mind to you, Lord. I know better than to try and do things on my own. I promise to let you guide me over the next few days. Only then will I take any action that you have shown me.
Thank you for always standing by me, Lord. I will forever be indebted to you for your great sacrifice. Allow me to always walk in your will. In Jesus name I pray,

Concluding Thoughts:
Financial breakthroughs from God always come at the right time. I know it is hard to be patient. I know it will feel like you have just stopped trying to succeed, but sometimes you have to stop putting so much pressure on yourself for God’s work to happen and have faith in a better tomorrow.
Have faith in our Lord. Philippians 4:19 reads “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”. Our Lord has provided for me and I know that he will also provide for you. We just have to open our eyes and hearts to see and feel what his provisions look like.
I also wanted to let you know that there are many people out there who have been given the gift of giving. Sometimes it takes asking your pastor for assistance to be put in the right direction. These gifts may only come one time, but it is important to remember that God can provide for you in many ways.
